Alguersuari confirmed at Toro Rosso for 2010

Toro Rosso have added another piece to the jigsaw by finally confirming Jaime Alguersuari for the 2010 season. The move was expected, however Toro Rosso have taken over 2 months to confirm it.

Speculation has been high since Jaime confirmed he had the seat however in the official entry list the number 17 was left blank. Some rumours early in January linked Bruno Senna to the seat with speculation that Campos was struggling to find money.

However it looks like Senna will stay put as Jaime has now been confirmed. The young Spaniard joined Toro Rosso midway through last season replacing the faulting Sebastian Bourdais. After a steady finish to the season Alguersuari set some impressive pace, the nineteen year-old at times matching his team mate.

Expectations are high for 2010 however, team principle Franz Tost having been quoted as saying that he wants to see significant improvements from both drivers throughout 2010 to ensure they both have a seat into the future.

The confirmation means that Toro Rosso will have by far the youngest driver line-up on the grid this year, whether or not youth will beat experience remains to be seen however.
