Hamilton DQ - fair or foul?

Post by Ross on 2nd April 2009, 11:18

Do you reckon Lewis Hamilton's disqualification from the Australian Grand Prix (see News) was just?

Personally, I think the FIA were completely unfair - why should him lying have an effect on the race outcome? Fine him if that's really an issue...

    The sport is a joke.

'1. Driver receives 25s penalty from stewards. Team told that penalty is equivalent of a Stop-Go penalty and cannot be reversed (Spa-Francorchamps, 2008).
    2. Driver receives 25s penalty from stewards. Team told that penalty is equivalent of a Stop-Go penalty, but it is then reversed (Melbourne, 2009).'

    I rest my case

Did he "lie" or simply leave out the important bits? Either way, does it actually matter?
Just put Trulli back in 3rd if he deserves it.
