    I think it's a stupid idea. If it's not broken, don't fix it.

    In all honesty though, it might not affect the overtaking, because all a driver needs to do is win half of the GP's in the year and they've INSTANTLY won the drivers championship, they don't even have to show up to the other ones...

    But methinks that will never be the case now that Schumacher is out of the equation, however I agree with what you're saying.

    Still, I think it will increase racing, and look at recent years - we have seen drivers with equal race wins at the penultimate round before.

    Based on this new system I think Ferrari will have an advantage because they can win alot more on the calendar since there are many more faster, windier tracks at which they do so well, as opposed to the tight twisty street circuits.

    its a silly idea as on last seasons results massa would have won not hamilton
