    Force India unveil VJM02

Force India has revealed its new car and a totally revised livery for the 2009 season.

The VJM02, which uses a McLaren-Mercedes engine, gearbox and kinetic energy recovery system, will run in public for the first time at Jerez tomorrow, but the team has published images of the car in advance.

Although the team is not holding a fully-fledged launch event, drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil will give press conferences during the test to share their initial feelings on the VJM02.

The car was shaken down in a private session at Silverstone on Wednesday.

Ambitious team boss Vijay Mallya made major changes to the squad over the winter - dispensing with former technical chief Mike Gascoyne and team principal Colin Kolles, and ending Force India's Ferrari customer deal in favour of a closer tie with McLaren and Mercedes.

Mallya hopes that those moves will allow Force India to score regular points in 2009, having failed to break into the top eight last year, and to fight for victory by the time the Indian Grand Prix joins the Formula 1 calendar in 2011.

As always, Turn Two will be bringing you the latest news and updates from each and every F1 car launch, as well as technical analysis and news surrounding the world of F1 in the run up to the season opener in Melbourne, Australia, March 27-29.
